Garment & Curtain Hemming
$30 base fee + $7.50/m after the first metre.
Each job is assessed individually, so if your item is unusual or has a complicated finish it may alter the price.

No, as different fabrics require different equipment.
I specialise in everyday garments made from natural fibres (ie, cotton/linen with no/low stretch).
I don’t currently offer hemming for jeans, formalwear or stretchy fabrics.

Please mark the new length before you bring it to me. (You could use a pin or peg to mark it.)

Yes. Where possible, I will re-create the look of the original hem to preserve the design of the garment.
If that’s not possible, or if you have a different preference, we can discuss it beforehand.
Personalised Embroidery
$30 base fee per item + $2.50 per letter.
Bring me a fabric item of your choosing (such as a bag, hat, jumper, or blanket), and I will hand-embroider a name on it for you.

Yes! Send me a screenshot of the name in your chosen font.
https://fonts.google.com/ is a good resource for this.

You can choose a colour from my stash, or you can buy your preferred embroidery floss elsewhere and give it to me.

Yes, but it will require some extra care. Place it in a delicates bag before putting it in the washing machine, and run it on a gentle cycle.
Machine wash it sparingly to maximise its longevity. Spot clean by hand in between machine washes.
