Alterations & Embroidery

Workmanship guarantee

I stand behind my work. If something I’ve sewn comes undone under normal wear, bring it back and I’ll happily fix it at no cost.

Pricing

I price by complexity rather than by the hour, as every project is different. Shown here are examples of how my jobs are typically priced, though I’ll confirm exact pricing once I’ve seen your item.

If you’re unsure whether something is worth altering, I’m always happy to offer honest advice.

  • Straightforward work with minimal unpicking and easy fabrics.

Examples may include simple hems, elastic replacement, small repairs, shortening straps, or adding darts.

  • Work that involves shaping, fitting, or careful finishing.

Examples may include taking in shirts or dresses, waistband adjustments, adding a neckline insert, lined hems, sleeve widening, standard zipper replacement, or small areas of custom embroidery.

  • More involved alterations requiring precision or problem-solving.

Examples may include lined or tailored garments, delicate or slippery fabrics, reshaping bodices or armholes, bias-cut garments, or custom embroidery.

How it works

Step 1: Booking
Use the booking form to tell me what you need. The more detail you include, the better I can understand what you’re hoping for. I’ll be in touch within 2 business days to confirm expectations, pricing, and drop-off details.

Step 2: Sewing
Please allow for a two week turnaround. I may complete your job sooner, but as a stay-at-home-mum this window ensures I can balance home and work sustainably. I will notify you when your job is ready for collection.

Step 3: Payment, Pickup & Review
Please ensure your invoice is paid upon pickup. You’ll have the opportunity to inspect the garment to make sure it meets your expectations. I will email you a link to leave a review on my Google store.
